We have a fantastic opportunity to combine an elusive community event to contribute towards scouts milestones (especially important for those going for their scout peak awards) together with some bushwalking km to contribute to their walkabout awards.

As part of Clean Up Australia Day we will be attending the Whale Rock Trail Fun Run which starts and finishes at Ern Holmes Oval in Pennant Hills. There are 2 options:

1. The scout registers and pays a subsidised rate to enter the Whalerock 6.5km fun run, receiving a medal and drinks along the route
2. The scout is not interested in the above and just wants to bushwalk along the back of the course with leaders and participate in the packing up help at the end of the event

Scouts should attend wearing the following:

1. Scout uniform including scarf
2. Water bottle
3. Snack (no nuts)
4. Raincoat if needed
5. Suncream
6. Insect repellent
7. Sun hat 
8. Medication as required (e.g. epipen if your scout has anaphylaxis, inhaler if they have asthma)
9. Sensible shoes for bushwalking (enclosed with a good grip)
